SourceForge.net is a great source for finding open-source programs. I believe that open-source software is raising the bar for what can be sold as software. The quality of open-source software is just as good, if not better, than that of commercial software. Many software businesses are concerned that open-source will ruin their business. I think it is just the beginning of a new business model. The real profit will be in the services surrounding software, i.e. training, custom development, support, etc.
